Ms. Stacy Peters’ first grade class at Wheeler Elementary recently participated in Bledsoe County’s Litter Prevention Program. Students walked around their school campus picking up litter while showing others how easy it is to beautify their local surroundings.

Third grade classes conduct STEM research
Science, technology, engineering, and mathematics coupled with a recent novel study of Charlotte’s Web made for a fun-filled day for third graders at Wheeler Elementary. Students made their way through stations of math word problems, making a map of Zuckerman’s farm, designing a pig’s catapult, and building a toothpick tower.

Fourth graders compete in 4H Clover Bowl
Fourth grade students at Wheeler Elementary competed in the 4H Clover Bowl in Knoxville, Tenn. on Wednesday, May 17th. Ella Boynton, Kaylie Campbell, Rhylea Davis, and Landry Sherrell’s hard work and studying paid off when they made it into the top 4 out of 23 teams of other fourth graders from the Eastern Region of Tennessee.
